Life Is Busy. Are You Making Time to Feel Good?
Written by Tracy Lombardy | Elevate PT Marketing
Have you ever stopped for a moment, taken a deep breath, and thought, Wow, life is busy!
Between running a business, managing a team, keeping up with family, helping aging parents, and making sure the puppies are living their best lives (because, of course, they need attention, too!), it's easy to get caught up in the daily rat race.
And if you're a business owner, you know exactly what I mean.
We're wearing so many hats that sometimes I wonder if I should just add a hat rack to my office!
But here's something I've been thinking about lately...
We all want the same thing. We want to feel GOOD!
Not just okay. I mean really good. Energetic, healthy, happy, balanced, and that wonderful feeling deep down inside that says, Life is good!
I like to call that feeling blissful.
And while we're busy helping everyone else get there, are we making sure we're getting there ourselves?
Sometimes We All Need a Little Change
A few days ago, we had the Hunter's Moon, the full moon traditionally associated with the time of year when people prepared for winter by hunting and storing food after the harvest.
It got me thinking about seasons, change, and how important it is to recognize when it's time to do things a little differently.
Change isn't always easy. Sometimes we get so comfortable with our routines that we don't even realize how much we're carrying.
I know I can get caught up in it, too.
I feel I have a pretty good handle on managing stress, but there are definitely times when I need to stop, take a step back, and recalibrate.
Maybe it's taking a walk, getting outside, spending time with people I love, or simply giving myself permission to slow down.
And sometimes it's recognizing that I don't have to do everything myself.
Here's my thought: Why do we spend so much time helping everyone else make changes, but hesitate to make changes for ourselves?
Think about it.
As physical therapy professionals, you spend your days helping people who are in pain, frustrated, limited in their activities, and sometimes just plain tired of feeling the way they do.
You educate them, encourage them, give them a plan, and help them see that things can get better.
You remind them that progress takes time, that they need to listen to their bodies, and that asking for help is a good thing.
But what about you?
Are you listening to your own advice?
Are you giving yourself the same attention, encouragement, and support that you give your patients?
And when it comes to your business, are you trying to be the CEO, marketing director, social media manager, community relations coordinator, and everything in between?
If so, I have a suggestion. Maybe it's time to let someone help you, too!
Find Your YES!
After more than 20 years in the physical therapy business, there's one thing I still absolutely love: helping people realize there IS a way to feel better.
One of the things I've always encouraged people to do is be your own health advocate and FIND YOUR YES!
Let me explain.
Imagine you love running. It's something that makes you happy, clears your head, and gives you that feeling of freedom.
But you've been experiencing some pain, and a doctor tells you that running isn't a good idea.
Now, I'm not suggesting you ignore medical advice or push through an injury. Absolutely not!
But I do believe in asking questions, exploring your options, and finding the right professionals who will listen to your goals.
Maybe you need to modify your activity, work on strength and mobility, change your approach, or find a physical therapist who can help you safely work toward running again.
Maybe running every day isn't realistic, but a couple of short runs each week might be.
Don't automatically accept that NO is the end of the conversation. Find out what IS possible. Find your YES!
That's something I've believed in for years.
We all deserve to feel strong, capable, healthy, and confident in our bodies. And sometimes getting there means finding someone who will listen, guide us, and help us make a change.
The same philosophy applies to business.
Sometimes we need a fresh perspective, a little guidance, or someone who can take something off our plate so we can focus on what we do best.
Your Patients Want to Feel Better. So Do You!
Here's where I see such a great connection between the work you do and the work I do.
Your patients want to live healthier, stronger, more active lives. They want to get back to the things they love without constantly thinking about pain or limitations.
And you want that for them!
But as a business owner, you also want to feel good about your business. You want a team that works well together, a schedule that stays busy, patients who appreciate what you do, and a community that recognizes your clinic as a trusted resource.
You want to grow without sacrificing every evening and weekend to make it happen.
Sound familiar?
I believe your community needs to hear more from you. They need to hear your message about living a healthy, strong, and active life.
They need to know what you believe in, how you can help, and why your clinic is a place where they can find their YES.
And that's where Elevate PT Marketing comes in.
Let Me Help You Share Your Passion!
After 20 years in the physical therapy industry, my passion for helping people hasn't changed.
I love seeing that lightbulb moment when someone realizes there are options, that they can take an active role in their health, and that feeling better may be closer than they think.
That's the same passion I want to bring to your business communications.
I want to help you share the messages you already believe in. The messages you wish more people knew. The little reminders that could inspire someone to take that first step toward feeling better.
Through blogs, social media, emails, newsletters, community events, and more, I help small physical therapy clinics stay connected with their communities.
You bring the clinical knowledge, experience, and passion. I'll help you communicate it!
Because let's face it, you have enough on your plate. You don't need another job title called Chief Everything Officer.
Let me help you take marketing off your plate, so you can get back to doing what you love.
If you've been thinking that your clinic could use some fresh ideas, better communication, or simply a little more consistency, I'd love to talk.
Let's find your YES!

A Little Thanksgiving Thought...
As we head into Thanksgiving, I hope you take some time to slow down and enjoy the people and things that matter most.
Maybe get outside for a little Turkey Trot, take a walk after that big Thanksgiving meal (we all know we're going to need it!), or simply enjoy some extra time with family, friends, and those closest to you.
And don't forget the puppies. They deserve a little Thanksgiving happiness, too!
May your day be filled with love, gratitude, laughter, and, of course, THANKS!
